Joe Harold Velten

PRAIRIE GROVE — Joe Harold Velten, 70, a resident of Prairie Grove passed away Jan. 16, 2014, at his home. He was born May 15, 1943, in Carthage, Mo., the son of Albert Joseph and Dorothy Marie Dodson Velten.

Joe proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1963 to 1967. He was a member of the Grace Harbor Church in Rogers, Ark. Joe enjoyed many things in life, such as hunting, fishing, trapping and anything to do with the outdoors. He loved to refiinish antique furniture, most of all Hoosier Kitchen Cabinets. He was well-known all over the country as “The Hoosier Man.” Joe and Brenda owned and operated Keep It Country Antiques in Prairie Grove.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Brenda Velten; two sons, Charlie Daniels and his wife, Amy, and Dennis Daniels, one daughter, Amanda Velten, all of Prairie Grove; one grandson, Dakota Daniels; two granddaugh­ters, Emily Daniels and Aubrey Daniels; one brother, Larry Velten of Sarcoxie, Mo.; two sisters, Lynda Chandler, also of Sarcoxie, Cindy Sooter of Nixa, Mo.; and many nieces and nephews.

Arrangemen­ts were by Luginbuel Funeral Home.

Funeral service was held Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014, at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove, with burial in Prairie Grove Cemetery.

Bobby Gene Glidewell

TULSA, Okla. - Bobby Gene Glidewell, 59, formerly of Lincoln, passed away Jan. 16, 2014, at his home in Tulsa, Okla. He was born May 1, 1954, in Berea, Ohio, the son of Bill Glidewell and Ruby Whiteley.

He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1972, and was an industrial painter.

He was preceded in death by his father, who had been living in Lincoln.

Survivors include his mother, Ruby Whiteley of Muskogee, Okla;

one son, Michael Glidewell of Tulsa, Okla.; and one sister, Susie Glidewell of Muskogee, Okla.

A private family service was held under the direction of Moore Funeral Home - East Lawn Chapel of Tulsa.

Pauline Edens

LINCOLN — Pauline Edens, 81, a resident of Lincoln, passed away Jan. 17, 2014, in Lincoln. She was born June 26, 1932, in Japton, Ark., the daughter of Hilburn and Opal Wages Jameson.

She attended the Church of Christ in Springdale, Ark.

Survivors include one son, Bobby Edens of Springdale, Ark.; three daughters, Anita Kaye Edens of Spokane, Wash., Jan Edens of Callville, Wash., and Linda Stephens of Kansas; one brother, John Jameson of Washington; two sisters, Ann Dorsey of Springdale, Ark., and Wanda Giff ord of Huntsville, Ark.; nine grandchild­ren and 12 great-grandchild­ren.

Arrangemen­ts are by Luginbuel Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Luginbuel Chapel. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayettevil­le. There will be no graveside services held at the cemetery.

Norma Fern Stickler SAPULPA, Okla. — Norma Fern Stickler, 74, a resident of Sapulpa, Okla., passed away Jan. 17, 2014,

in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born July 16, 1939 in Prairie Grove, Arkansas, the daughter of Arlis Beecher and Lois Hazel Daniels Sparks.

She attended the Sapulpa Holiness Church.

Survivors include her husband, Joe E. Stickler; two sons, Phil Stickler of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, and Marty Stickler and wife Debbie of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; one brother, Jackie Sparks and his wife Loretta of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; two sisters, Ruth Beaty and her husband Bill of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and Reba Tittle and her

husband Henson of Lincoln, Arkansas; four grandchild­ren Ryan, Hannah, Amber Flowers, and Zach; one great grandchild, Marlie.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 7:00 at the Sapulpa Holiness Church.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, Jan. 23, 2014, at 10 a.m. at Sapulpa Holiness Church on Wickham Road in Sapulpa, Okla., with burial in Green Hill Cemetery in Sapulpa.

Iva Sisk

WEST FORK — Iva Sisk, 91, a resident of West Fork, passed away Jan. 19, 2014, at Willard Walker Hospice in Fayettevil­le.

She was born March 8, 1922, in Sisco, Ark., the daughter of Polk and Maggie Ellen Matthews Jones. She was a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John Sisk, one sister, Mable Warden; three brothers, Dee Jones, Ernie Jones and Hugh Jones.

Survivors include one son, George Robert Ramsey and wife, Jill, of Wildwood, Mo.; two grandchild­ren, Kim Lindsey and husband, Tim, of Piedmont, Okla., and Kelsey Dakota Ramsey of Wildwood, Mo.; two great-grandchild­ren, Colton and Rose Lindsey of Piedmont, Okla.; two brothersin-law, Buck Ridenour of Broken Arrow, Okla., and Ellis A. Sisk of Siloam Springs, Ark.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, Jan. 23, 2014, at 10 a.m. at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove. Burial will be in Baptist Ford Cemetery in Greenland. There will be no graveside services held at the cemetery.
