Summer Ball Sign-Ups

A session to sign up for summer baseball and softball will be held 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Jan. 25, at Ledbetter Intermediate and another sign-up will be 1-3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 9. Parents also can sign up at City Hall. Applications are available through the city website, www. cityoffarmingtonar.com, or at City Hall. Applications will not be accepted after Feb. 14.

Cemetery Association

The Farmington Cemetery Association will have its annual meeting at 2 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 26 at City Hall in Farmington. Members are encouraged to attend.

Wild Game Dinner

A wild game dinner, beginning at 6 p.m. on Jan. 25 will be hosted b y the First Baptist Church, 589 Rheas Mill Road, Farmington. Special guest speaker: Scottie Johnson. Tickets: $10 at church office. For more information call 479-267-3159 or 841-8526.

PRAIRIE GROVE

Fire Hydrant Testing

The Prairie Grove Fire Department will be doing system wide testing of fire hydrants through Jan. 24. The testing is expected to stir up sediment and scale in the water mains and may cause water discoloration during testing. Please report any problems to the Prairie Grove Water Department during this time, 846-2961.

Baseball, Softball

Sign-Ups

Baseball and softball signups will be held Saturday, Jan. 25, from 9 a.m. to noon and again on Saturday, Feb. 8, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Prairie Grove Middle School cafeteria. The fee is $60 per child or $120 per family. Bring a copy of the child’s birth certificate. Evening sign-ups will be held Feb. 18, 20 and 24 from 5-7 p.m. in the Pee Wee gym. Participants, who don’t get signed up during these events will be charged an additional $10 fee. For more information or with questions call Christine

Breakfast Buffet

A breakfast buffet will be held from 6-10 a.m. on Jan. 25 at the Masonic Lodge, Prairie Grove, across from the telephone office. Menu: pancakes, bacon, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, coffee, orange juice, milk. For more information contact Corbin Wood at 841-5724.

Singing Concert

Bethel Grove Community will sponsor a singing group to play at 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 7 at the Community Building.
