Clarice Geneva Adams

PRAIRIE GROVE — Clarice Geneva Adams, 95, was born Aug. 18, 1918, in Gravelly, Yell County, Ark. She passed away on Feb. 11, 2014, in Prairie Grove, Ark. She was the daughter of Joseph Alonzo Billingsle­y and Mamie E. Smallwood Billingsle­y.

She was proceeded in death by her husband of 62 years, Cecil Henry Adams, her parents, her sons, Lonnie Ray and Calvin Cecil, grandson Allen Ray Adams, her daughter-in-law Nancy Adams and sister Anna Bell Bratten.

She is survived by her son James Henry Adams and wife Gladys of Star City; daughter Carolyn Cox and husband Jack of Everton; daughter Ruby Jo Epps and husband Donald of Prairie Grove; five sisters Mary Billingsle­y, Betty Boomer, Peggy Royale, Dorothy Heckenbach and Patricia Ireland; uncle Otis Smallwood and aunt Eunice Stutsman of Kountze, Texas. Grandchild­ren, Sam Cox and Kelly of Belgrade, Mont.; Richard Cox and wife Kathy of Batavia, Ill., Ronnie Adams and wife Christie of Hot Springs, Kathleen Adams of Star City, Sandy Ashmore and husband Randy of Star City, Billy Adams and wife Teresa of Star City, Casey Day of West Virginia, Sarah Standbridg­e and husband Scott of Little Rock, Suzanne Glenn and husband Shaan of Evansville, Jennifer Wilson and husband L.D. of Lincoln; 14 great-grandchild­ren and one great-great-grandchild.

She will be remembered for her extraordin­ary sewing, needlework, quilting and crafting for which she won several Lincoln County Fair awards. She also loved sharing her family history with her children and many others. She was happiest with a cat in her lap and a cup of hot coffee. She finished her working career after 10 years at Levi Strauss in Star City.

Graveside services were held Feb. 14, 2014, at Holly Springs Cemetery in Star City.

Linda Nell Dunnagan HEMPHILL, Texas — Linda

Nell Dunnagan, 72, of Hemphill, Texas, died Feb. 7, 2014, in her home after an illness. She was born in Springfiel­d, Mo., to Elmer and Nellie Small Kleasner.

Linda graduated from high school in Glascow, Mo., where she spent her childhood. She moved to Toledo Bend Lake 15 years ago from Carrollton, Mo., where she was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Linda is survived by her husband Jerry Dunnagan of Hemphill, Texas, her daughter Michele Whittaker of Holts Summitt, Mo.; her sons, Stacy Lee Scott of Blue Springs, Mo., Kenyon Allen Scott of Branson, Mo.; four grandchild­ren, Ashley, Christophe­r, Cassie and Michael.

Funeral service was held Feb. 10, 2014 at Luginbuel Chapel. Burial was in Prairie Grove Cemetery.

Shannon Gaye Cook WEST FORK — Shannon Gaye Meadors Cook, 67, a resident of West Fork, passed away Feb. 15, 2014, at her home. She was born Jan. 30, 1947, in Flat Rock, Ark., the daughter of Joe and Clarine Bradley Meadors. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Eddie Meadors and Roger Meadors.

Survivors include her husband Larry Cook; two sons, Theoran Campbell of Fayettevil­le and Robin Fields and wife Jamie of West Fork; three brothers Eugene and wife Anita Meadors of Winslow, Fred and wife Linda of Farmington, and Roy Meadors of Farmington; four sisters, Josaphine McGaugh and husband Frank of West Fork, Winnie Carmean and husband Eddie of Springdale, Peggy Comley of Centerton, and Laura Price and husband Kenny of Elm Springs.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014 - 1 p.m. at Kenney Cemetery at Frog, Ark.

Anna Fern Hoover Eiland PALAVA, Texas — Anna Fern Hoover Eiland, 80, of Palava, Texas died Feb. 14, 2014, at Sweetwater, Texas. She was born Nov. 26, 1933, at Palava, Texas.

She was a homemaker most of her life. She lived in Lockney, Texas when she got married and then moved to Fayettevil­le, Ark., for many years until moving back to Palava in November 2011 to help her brother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George C. Hoover, Sr., and Eula Mae Byrd Hoover; her husband, Lloyd C. Eiland; a son, Robert Lloyd Eiland; her brother G.C. Hoover.

Survivors include a daughter, Patrica Graham of Fayettevil­le; three sons Stanly Eiland, Mike Eiland and Jason Eiland, all of Fayettevil­le; seven grandchild­ren and 13 great-grandchild­ren.

A graveside service was held Feb. 17, 2014, at Palava Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home of Sweetwater.

Rev. Carl JD Page

SALLISAW, Okla. — The Rev. Carl JD Page, 82, of Sallisaw, Okla., passed away Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014, at his home in Sallisaw, Okla. He was born July 24, 1931, in Zena, Okla., to George Samuel and Mae Gooding Page.

He was saved and baptized at the age of 17, and called to preach at 19.

For the past 63 years, the Rev. Page has evangelize­d and pastored 12 churches in different states including California, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Texas.

In 1950, he married Mona Mozell Woods. With her dedication and love for the Lord, she became a great help to his ministry in their 56 years of marriage. She passed away in 2006.

On July 21, 2007, Carl married Jean Porter and she also became a very important factor in his life and ministry until his passing.

He is survived by his wife, Jean Page of the home; one son, CJ Page of Taloga, Okla., three daughters, Jan Hite and husband Dan of Sapulpa, Okla., Shirley Hunt and husband Wayne of Morrow, Ark., and Sheila Vaughn and husband Harold of Purcell, Okla., and one stepdaught­er, Jan Byrd and husband Randy of Sallisaw, Okla.; seven grandchild­ren, Joel Hite, Jason Hunt, Jeremy Hunt, Joshua Vaughn, Dallen Page, Daysha Vaughn, and Joretta Maxwell, three step-grandchild­ren; and 11 great grandchild­ren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife of 56 years, Mona Page, grandson, Ryan Page, and great-granddaugh­ter, Alexis Mozell Vaughn.

Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, Feb. 19th, 2014, at 10 a.m. at Foundation Church, 7783 S Hwy. 97, Sapulpa, Okla.

Burial will follow in the Kellyville Cemetery in Kellyville, Okla.

Pallbearer­s will be Joel Hite, Joshua Vaughn, Jason Hunt, Jeremy Hunt, Dallen Page, Harold Vaughn, and Dan Hite. Honorary pallbearer­s will be visiting ministers.

In lieu of flowers memorials be made to your favorite church.
