Seniors Plan Trip

- SHIRLEY METZGER HAS BEEN WRITING FOR THE LINCOLN SENIOR CENTER FOR SEVERAL YEARS. SHIRLEY METZGER Center Reporter

Good morning, seniors. Please remember we will be taking a bus trip to Tunica to the casino from April 7-11. This trip is not just for seniors but anyone over 21, although several of us from the center do plan on going and it should be a lot of fun. The price includes a trip through Graceland and several other site seeing trips, so call and get the particulars from the center.

Remember the delicious meals and the fun things going on here at the center daily so be sure to stop by and take part. Start out this year with your friends here at Lincoln Senior Center. You will be glad you did.

We still need a Meals on Wheels delivery person for Mondays. This is such a worthwhile program and our folk so enjoy a hot meal and a person to say, “Hi, we are thinking of you.” This is a volunteer program and takes about an hour of time on Mondays. Give this some thought and give Sally Metcalf a call at the center.

We want to welcome Rick Reed as the new van driver. He pastors at Sugar Hill Church and sure is a nice young man. He is a great addition to our center and we welcome him with open arms. The OK Country Band will be playing on Feb. 25 for our dance. We are sure glad to have them back with us this year.

Once again we ask for prayers for our center director, Sally Metcalf. She has had surgery once again and will have another bout of follow- up care, so please keep her in your prayers for the next few weeks. Meanwhile have a great week, keep smiling, keep healthy and God bless you and yours.
