PRAIRIE GROVE

Ribbon Cutting

EAST Lab class at Prairie Grove Middle School will have a ribbon cutting ceremony at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 5, at Hindman Museum at Prairie Grove Battlefiel­d State Park to demonstrat­e a new 3-D Augmented Reality exhibit. The class’ seventh- and eighthgrad­e students received a $10,000 grant to create the exhibit for the local Civil War museum.

Special Meeting

Prairie Grove City Council will have a special meeting at 6 p.m., Wednesday, April 2 to discuss the upcoming annexation election.

Spring Breakfast

First United Methodist Church women’s Friendship Circle is hosting the annual Spring Breakfast on Saturday, April 12, from 7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. at 1401 E. Parks St., in Prairie Grove. Eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy are being served. Adults $5, children ages 4-12 $3, ages 3 and under free.

Chamber Banquet

Farmington Area Chamber of Commerce will have its annual banquet at 6 p.m., Tuesday, April 8, at Farmington Baptist Church, 49 W. Pancake Breakfast

Farmington Fire Department will have its annual Pancake Breakfast from 6-10 a.m., Saturday, March 29, at the fire station on Main Street. Cost is $5 per person. Children 6 and under are free. The community is invited to come out and enjoy pancakes, bacon, sausage and drinks.

Technology Zoo

Farmington Public Library will host a demonstrat­ion on Wednesday, March 26, from 2-4 p.m. to test drive their new iPad, Nook, Kindle, and Chromebook. Staff will be on hand to answer questions and give hands-on experience with these brand new devices.

Kiwanis Seek Help

Farmington Kiwanis Easter Eggstravag­anza will be Saturday, April 12, at Williams Elementary School. Kiwanis is asking area businesses to help with the event with either donations or stuffing eggs. An estimated 500 children and their parents are expected to attend the event and around 40,000 eggs will be hidden.

Dance

Tickets are on sale now for the Ken Harvey Dinner and Show, Friday, April 4 at the Farmington Senior Center.

Pie Auction

A pie auction medical benefit will be held Saturday, March 29 at 6 p.m. at the Rheas Mill Community Building on North Wedding Blacktop Road at Lincoln. Proceeds will be used to help Ronnie Bunnell

Owen 50th Anniversar­y

Frankie and Ruby Owen are celebratin­g their 50th wedding anniversar­y at the Lincoln Senior Citizens Center on Saturday, Mar. 29 from 1-3 p.m. No gifts please. Frankie Owen and Ruby Lue Murray were married at Westville, Okla. on Mar. 31, 1964.

Cemetery Meeting

The annual meeting of the Dutch Mills Cemetery Associatio­n will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 29, at the Liberty Baptist Church in Dutch Mills. All interested persons are welcome to attend.

Gospel Concert

The gospel group Mark 209 in concert at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, April 5, at Liberty Baptist Church. They are a Southern Gospel group with a touch of country from Nashville, Tenn. Come and join us for a special blessing in your life.

Gospel Singing

Bethel Grove Community Center will sponsor a singing group, The Cow Patty Gospel, at 6:30 p.m. on April 4 at the Community building.
