Joshua McKay Adams

Joshua McKay Adams, 33, a resident of Lincoln, Ark., passed away May 24, 2014. He was born Nov. 8, 1980, at Oklahoma City, Okla., the son of Earl W. and Betty Wilkson Adams.

He is survived by his wife, Brandi Adams; one son, Joshua E. Adams of the home; two daughters, Kaylei Robinson and Haven Robinson; one unborn child; and his parents, Earl and Betty Adams of Fayettevil­le.

Funeral service was held May 30, 2014, at Illinois Chapel Baptist Church in Prairie Grove with burial in Lincoln Cemetery.

Grace Ozeta Hughes

Grace Ozeta Hughes, 99, a resident of Brentwood, Ark., passed away June 2, 2014, in Faye t tev i l le . She was born Oct. 16, 1914, at Brentwoood, the daughter of Clarence Oliver and Dolly Candasy Hooten Keys. She attended the Unity Covenant Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Carl Hughes.

She is survived by one son Dean Hughes and wife Sally of Brentwood; two grandsons, Rodney Hughes and wife Deborah, and Lance Hughes; three great-grandchild­ren, Kimberly and husband Jarrod Hankins, Kasey Hughes, and Kinley Hughes; one great-great granddaugh­ter, Harper Hankins.

Funeral service was held June 6, 2014, at Unity Covenant Church in West Fork, Ark., with burial at Brentwood Cemetery in Winslow, Ark.

Buel Ray “Buddy” Lyle, 78, a resident of Prairie Grove went to be with his Lord on June 3, 2014, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayettevil­le. He was born Jan. 26, 1936, in Charleston, Ark., the son of Buel H. and Mary Katherine Wasson Lyle.

Buddy graduated from Charleston High School, then attended the University of Arkansas of Fort Smith. He received a bachelors degree from University of Central Arkansas, a masters from Arkansas State in Jonesboro and a doctorate degree at Texas A&M in College Station. He coached high school basketball in Charleston, Mountainbu­rg and Cotton Plant; a guidance counselor at Pine Bluff High School, later teaching at University of Texas for seven years, five years at Louisiana Tech in Ruston and then 21 years at the University of Arkansas, where he retired in 2004 after teaching a total of 47 years.

Buddy served on the Prairie Grove City Council, was chosen as Citizen of the Year in 2010, was past-president of the Prairie Grove Chamber of Commerce and volunteere­d for Beans and Rice program at the First Presbyteri­an Church in Prairie Grove where he also served as Deacon. He served as past-president of the local AARP Chapter and delivered for Meals on Wheels for many years. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge in Prairie Grove.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Buddy is survived by his wife Pat Laman Lyle whom he married in 1957 in Cave City, Ark.; his daughters Lesa Bement and husband Mark and Gina Bailey and husband Bryan; his son, Danny Lyle and wife Sherrie; seven grandsons Josh Barnes, Brandon and Tanner Gallman, Brandon Bailey, Baron, Tyler and Jackson Lyle; one granddaugh­ter AnnaKate Lyle; five great-grandchild­ren; one sister Alice Bowen and husband Bill of Charleston; and his loyal dog of 16 years, Dixie.

Funeral service was held Friday, June 6, 2014, at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove with burial in Prairie Grove Cemetery.
