Vanetta Fern Billings Dunn

FAYETTEVIL­LE — Vanetta Fern Billings Dunn, 69, of Fayettevil­le, passed away July 9, 2014, at Fayettevil­le. She was born Nov. 21, 1944, at Summit, Ark., the daughter of Van and Eula Hardin Billings.

Vanet-ta worked at Springdale Health and Rehab where she was assistant director of nurses for 12 years. She had been director of nurses at Care Inn in Plainview, Texas. She also was a nursing consultant for Beverly Enterprise­s all over East Texas for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Lee Dunn; six brothers, Truman, Virgil, Ulis, Marion Cleve, Everett, and Clyde Billings; three sisters, Louise Latham, Lazelle Willsey, and Lucia Gideon; two half-sisters, Ruth Johnson and Ruby Patterson; one stepson, Jarrold Dunn; one stepdaught­er Janice Dunn.

Survivors include one son, Van Dunn and wife Jamie of Fayettevil­le; one brother, Farrell Billings; two sisters, Ethna and Charlsie Billings; one sister-in-law Viva Billings; four grandchild­ren, Mason Barber, Astre, Ashton and McKinley Dunn; one stepson Jimmy Dunn and several stepgrandc­hildren; several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Funeral service was held July 14, 2014, at the Living Faith Church in Fayettevil­le with Glenda Curtis and Charlsie Billings officiatin­g. Burial was in the Farmington Cemetery.

Grace Jean Clayton

PRAIRIE GROVE — Grace Jean Clayton, 86, of Prairie Grove, passed away July 11, 2014, in Fayettevil­le. She was born July 5, 1928, at Fayettevil­le, the daughter of Hubert and Margaret Kirkland Dotson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Earl, John, Fred and Ben Dotson; two sisters, Cleo Purdue and Annie Oliver; one grandson, Cameron Clayton.

Survivors include her husband Ivan Clayton; two sons, Larry Clayton of Farmington and Rick Clayton and wife Elaine of Prairie Grove; one sister, Mary Belany of Washington State; three grandchild­ren, Christa Sugg, Meredith Green, and Danial Clayton; three great-grandchild­ren, Nicholas, Braden, and Jordan; three special nieces, Freddie Jean, Melody and Donna.

Funeral Service was held July 15, 2014, at the Prairie Oaks Baptist Church in Prairie Grove, with Brad Sugg and Brad Harris officiatin­g. Burial was in the Prairie Grove Cemetery.

Betty Jo Dunn

FAYETTEVIL­LE — Betty Jo Dunn, 77, of Fayettevil­le passed away July 13, 2014. She was born April 15, 1937, in Woolum, Ark., the daughter of Elbert and Ruth Amanda Ennes Morris.

She was a member of the Sycamore Baptist Church since 1959.

Betty Jo retired from Campbell Soup after 42 years of service. She prided herself in her cooking and her family, people would come from miles around just to eat her cooking. She was an excellent pie maker and was known as the family photograph­er.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband Basil Dunn; one daughter Tonya Mars and husband Gary; one sister Pat Boudrey and husband Jack of Farmington; two grandsons Weston Mars and Steven Mars.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 16, 2014 - 2 p.m. at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove with burial in Elm Springs Cemetery, there will be no graveside service held at the cemetery.
