Lincoln Woman Arrested On Drug Charges
LINCOLN — Latasha Kuykendall, 23, 112 N. Mitchell Ave., Lincoln is facing felony drug charges and endangering the welfare of a minor after her arrest on Sunday.
A proba b le cause preliminary report fromthe office of the prosecuting attorney stated Kuykendall was arrested by Lincoln Po l i ce Off i cer Mike Anderson for possession of methamphetamine or cocaine with intent to deliver, drug paraphernalia, possession of control substance and endangering the welfare of a minor.
The trunk of a car in which Kuykendall was passenger was found to have digital scales used for weighing illegal drugs, a small bag which contained a metal spoon with a bent handle, a syringe and small piece of a marijuana bud. In a side pocket of the bag were two plastic zip lock baggies containing a white crystallized powdery substance, which field tested positive to methamphetamine.
One bag appeared to be very high quality crystal type methamphetamine, according to Anderson’s police report. Kuykendall said she had spilled some of the substance on the child seat of her four-yearold child but cleaned it up. The child then sat in the car seat after the spill and rode from Lincoln to Springdale. Anderson reported he found several small granules still on the car seat which appeared to be the same substance suspected to be meth.
The four-year- old child and another child were taken into custody by the Department of Human Services.
Kuykendall tested positive for meth and marijuana. She was taken to Washington County Detention Center and held on a $2,500 bond.
