Library Hosts G.E.D. Classes

- Dianna Payne DIANNA PAYNE IS LIBRARY DIRECTOR AT LINCOLN PUBLIC LIBRARY.

The weather is cooler and it’s time for new beginnings.

We will be having G.E.D. classes at the library on Tuesdays from 5-8 p.m. and Wednesdays 2-5 p.m. to register and start classes. Classes are free and open to adults 18 years and older. For more information call 479- 4443041.

Story Time with William is set for Saturdays, 10:30-11 a.m. William will be reading books from now until the December holidays.

We also have partnered with our local Arvest Bank in a food drive. The library will have a box set up to collect food that will be delivered to GRACE Place in Lincoln. What a great way to help others have food, the winter months are just around the corner.

Story Time with Ms. Sherry Rodgers has started our fall season, so everyone is welcome to come to the library on Wednesdays at 10 a.m. The kids have such a good time.

The library still has the regular clubs of crochet and knitting. Everyone is welcome to come to be a part, especially if someone would like to learn to crochet or knit.

Lincoln History Club will be meeting every second Tuesday of the month at the library. The public is welcome to come at 6: 30 p.m. to listen and talk about the “old days.”

Please remember the library will be closed on Oct. 3-5, during the Arkansas Apple Festival. We will resume business as usual the following Monday. This month we will set up a table with the City of Lincoln at the Arvest tailgate located at the Lincoln High School football field and we will host a local children’s book author Dawn Denton on Oct. 25, 1-2 p.m. at the library. Denton will read to children from some of her books and then she has free books to give away.

A big thank you to all who have come by and enjoyed all that we have to offer at the Lincoln Public Library. We enjoy serving you very much.
