To the Editor: Lincoln police officer Greg Gunn posted several comments on Facebook about Doris Spindler who is running for mayor of Lincoln. I would like voters of Lincoln to read those comments.

She called current mayor Rob Hulse about this and he told her it was freedom of speech.

Doris is the owner of Burger Land. She has several employees part- time and full-time and has a very good business.

Doris does a lot of good things for Lincoln. On Thanksgivi­ng, she gives 600 free meals. She also buys coats for Lincoln children. The school gives her a list of kids who don’t have a coat and she buys them. She also was given this year, the Bud Cox community service award and received a citation from the House [State] House of Representa­tives signed by the speaker of the house and Rep. Charlene Fite for her community service in Lincoln. She also just adopted U.S. 62 from Burger Land to Double J. She does her share of help for the benefit of others.

The voters of Lincoln who don’t know Doris Spindler should go to Burger Land and get to know her. She is a friendly and kind person.
