FAMINGTON — Freddie Vernon “Poppy” Meadors, 66, a resident of Farmington, Ark., passed away Dec. 3, 2014, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayettevil­le. He was born July 16, 1948, in Fayettevil­le, the son of Joe and Clarine Bradley Meadors.

Fred was a well- respected finish carpenter by trade and was an avid hunter and outdoorsma­n. He unselfishl­y and uncon- ditionally filled the role of a father to his grandchild­ren. He thought the world and all of them.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Shannon Meadors and three brothers Roger Meadors, Ed Meadors and Eugene Meadors.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years Linda Meadors; three children Margaret Ann Meadors and partner Tina Haden of Farmington, Hyland Nicole Meadors and wife Tammie of Willis, Texas and Angela Linette Meadors of Farmington; one brother Roy Meadors of Farmington; four sisters, Josephine McGaugh of West Fork; Winnie Carmean and Laura Price both of Springdale and Peggy Comley of Centerton; three grandchild­ren Parker Allen Vernon Meadors and wife Stephanie, Amanda Paige Chandler and Logan Star Meadors; three great-grandchild­ren Haydyne Meadors, Rextyn Meadors and Jillyian Meadors; and his beloved pet Hope.

Arrangemen­ts were under the direction of the Luginbuel Funeral Home of Prairie Grove, Ark..
