FAYETTEVIL­LE — Homer Lee Tate, 90, a former resident of Lincoln, Ark., passed away Jan. 5, 2015, in Fayettevil­le, Ark. He was born Oct. 11, 1924, in Savoy, the son of Russell Edgar and Eula Frances Smith Tate.

He was a member and past Elder of the First Presbyteri­an Church in Lincoln. He married Viola Jackson on Oct. 27, 1946. Homer was a funeral director at the Luginbuel Funeral Home in Prairie Grove and Lincoln for over 45 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Viola Tate, and one daughter, Mary Frances Tate, his parents, Russell and Eula Tate.

Survivors include one son, David Tate and wife Marilyn of Elkins, Ark.; one daughter, Linda Munyon and husband John of Morrow, Ark.; four grandchild­ren, Michael Munyon and wife Donna, Jared Munyon and wife Anita, Rusty Tate, and Justin Tate; one great-grandchild, Austin Munyon; two brothers, Max Tate and his wife Arlene of Farmington, Ark., L.D. Tate and his wife Dorotha of West Fork, Ark.; one sister, Lucile Cann of Prairie Grove, Ark.

Funeral Service was held Jan. 8, 2015, at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove, Ark., with the Rev. Dan Wooley officiatin­g. Burial was in Prairie Grove Cemetery.

Pallbearer­s were Rick Clayton, Aubrey Kinion, Nathan Mefford, Roy Lee Jackson, Gary Tate and Stacy Luginbuel.

Honorary Pallbearer­s were his grandsons, Michael Munyon, Jared Munyon, Justin Tate, Rusty Tate, and Austin Munyon.
