Lincoln FBLA Wins Awards At Conference
Twenty-five Lincoln High School FBLA members attended the FBLA District VII Spring Leadership Conference at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville on Feb. 3. FBLA stands for Future Business Leaders of America.
This year’s FBLA theme is “Step up to the Challenge.” Lincoln High School students definitely did just that with 21 members qualifying to compete at the state conference in April.
Seniors Morgan Prince and Anapaola Correa placed first in Banking and Financial Systems. Senior Nathan Debes placed first in Personal Finance and Junior Danica Morgan placed first in Public Speaking II.
Other students qualifying for the state competition include:
Seniors: Felicia Secrist, 5th place Accounting I; Ashley Harris, 5th place Business Calculations; Emily Kidd, 4th place Impromptu Speaking. Juniors: Hannah Copeland and Sanya Murray, 3rd place Business Presentations; Pao Yang, 5th place Computer Problem Solving; sophomore: Jared Harris, 2nd place Agribusiness.
The following teams will advance to the state competition:
Digital Design and Promotion – Olivia Fry, Madison Rich, Madison Reed
Public Service Announce- ment – Alex Hutchens, Annie Lee, Jeremy Miller
Social Media Campaign – Hannah Huckabee, Destinee Smith
Management Decision Making – Jada Corbit, Jenifer Thao
Lincoln FBLA will travel to Little Rock April 12-14 to compete at the FBLA State Conference. The students will be looking for sponsorship to help pay travel expenses.
