Robert Earl Crudup

Robert Earl Crudup, 80, of Lincoln, Ark., passed away March 7, 2015, at Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayettevil­le, Ark. He was born Sept. 7, 1934, in Fayettevil­le, the son of Robert Clyde and Mary Adeline Turner Crudup.

He served in the United States Navy aboard the carrier USS Hornet CVA-12 during the Korean War on an around the world cruise. He was awarded the China Service Medal, Navy Occupation Service Medal Europe and the National Defense Ribbon.

He was an active member of the Presbyteri­an Church and served many years as an elder.

He enjoyed hunting, gun collecting and traveling in his RV. He was an over-the-road truck driver and mechanic for Northwest Arkansas Truck and Equipment.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother John W. Crudup.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Beverly Holt Crudup; two sons, Barry Crudup and wife Cheryl of Kansas City and Brad Crudup and wife Janet of Houston; four grandchild­ren, Megan Macy and husband Colter, Lauren Crudup, Justin Crudup and Kayla Crudup; two great- grandchild­ren, Castan and Cutter Macy.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 13, 2015, at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove. Burial will be in Fayettevil­le National Cemetery. There will be no graveside services held at the cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Willard Walker Hospice Home or First Presbyteri­an Church.
