Leslie Boyd of Farmington was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic discipline­s. Boyd was initiated at University of Arkansas at Little Rock.

Jayme Kutter of Farmington graduated summa cum laude May 8 from Henderson State University in Arkadelphi­a. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from the School of Business and Teachers College. Kutter is a 2011 graduate of Farmington High School.

The following high school students were recognized by NorthWest Arkansas Community College as Rising Scholars for having excelled in college classes: From Farmington: Sierra Riddle, Halsey Salmonson and Ashley Scott; From Lincoln: Brianna Valentine.

Blake Kutter of Farmington graduated summa cum laude May 9 from Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphi­a with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Christian Studies/Biblical Studies. Kutter received two awards this year: Outstandin­g Student in Biblical Studies and Academic Achiever for the Pruet School of Christian Studies.

The following area students were named to spring 2015 Dean’s List at Arkansas Tech University: From Farmington: Samantha Elizabeth Combs (4.0), Bryson Jonathon Duffy, Lauren Elizabeth Keck (4.0), Hayden Dale Lee, Austin Michael Miller (4.0), Raka Larae Pinkerton, Susan Ann Sanders (4.0), Erin Nicole Spence (4.0);

From Prairie Grove: Cory Ray Henry. Greggory Cook, of Lincoln High School, and Matilda Sullivan, of Prairie Grove High School, have been selected to receive the Presidenti­al Scholarshi­p to Southern Arkansas University in Magnoia. This scholarshi­p includes $5,500 per semester and has a four-year value of $44,000. Cook is the son of Gregg and Katheryn Cook. Sullivan is the daughter of Misty Phillips.

Cambrey Watson, of Prairie Grove High School, has been selected to receive the University Scholarshi­p to SAU. This scholarshi­p includes $4,500 per semester and has a four-year value of $36,000. Watson is the daughter of Jim and Tracy Watson.

Tara Parra, a Lincoln High graduate, received the Daughters of the American Colonists award at the 2014-15 annual Student Awards Ceremony held at College of the Ozarks in April. Awards are given based on outstandin­g accomplish­ments in the areas of academics, work and character.

Kay Hobart, of Farmington, was named to the Dean’s List for Arkansas Tech University, Ozark campus, for the spring semester.

The follow area students were named to the Dean’s List for spring semester at Harding University: Taylor Bruton of Canehill, Gabrielle Caselman of Farmington, Jackie Dye of Morrow, Cindel Worthey of Prairie Grove.
