Kids Warrior Dash

A Kids Warrior Dash will be held June 27, at Farmington Creekside Park. Registrati­on begins at 8 a.m. and races start at 8:30 a.m. Cost is $15 per child. Divisions will be ages 6-9 and 10-12 for both girls and boys. Each child will receive a participat­ion medal. Proceeds fund activities at Farmington United Methodist Church.

Creekside Park Public Workshop

A public workshop will be held from 4 to 6 p.m., June 29 at Farmington City Hall for residents to give ideas and comments for the City of Farmington Creekside Park Master Plan. The purpose of the workshop is to develop a vision for Creekside Park with a goal to maintain a high quality of life in the city of Farmington. A second workshop will be Aug. 3.

Freedom Fest

The annual Farmington Freedom Fest will be July 4 with fireworks for the community to enjoy. Fireworks will go off at dark, around 9 p.m., from the middle school.

Golf Ball Drop

Farmington Senior Center will sponsor a golf ball drop on July 4 before the fireworks display at the football stadium. Sarting at 5 p.m., the center will sell golf balls for $5 each and the golf balls will be dropped before the fireworks show starts. The winner will receive a $100 cash prize. Purchasing a golf ball for $5 buys a meal for a homebound senior. Proceeds benefit Meals on Wheels.
