Worship Service Enjoyed By All

- Lincoln Lifestyles MARIE ROY WCN Columnist

“Every day we have some weather, and yesterday was no exception” — John Carr.

Most days this spring, so far, we could have said this same thing, and as of now, it looks to be repeated later.

Last Sunday morning’s lesson was on Values and Priorities, an eyeopener and was lively discussed, with much concern as to how our country is headed.

During song service, specials by Chris Rogers, and Roger and Phyllis Reed were enjoyed, one of which was “It’s just His way of showing me He loves me.” Then Paula Cox played and sang “Liberty and Justice for all,” as Bud Cox told a story that showed the willing sacrifice of many, for us. I think there was not a dry eye in the house. Pastor Rick’s sermon was on the “Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.” Much worship in two hours.

A faithful few attended the third and last Alumni planning meeting Tuesday evening, wrapping up plans for the July 25th Lincoln Alumni reunion. This is in the community building on the square, from 2 to 4 p.m. It was hoped to have this reunion at school, as the former ones were; hopefully next time. We’ll keep all updated.

There has been some interest in starting the Lincoln remembering and reminiscing meetings at the library, possibly in August, for once a month meeting. More on this later if it develops.

Happy birthday to Angila Bradley, Danny Curtis, Kevin Barenburg, Opal Carter, Eulimma Harvey, Edenia Dodd, Brooke Bradley, Dwain Rigsbe Jr., Gayle Watkins, Andrew Stathakis, Allen Moore, Dale Hutchinson, Lynn Bush, Scott Davis, Kate Cheatham.

Happy anniversary to Trenton and Laura Pretty. Happy years, all! Have a SONshine day
