Albert Leon Reed Sr., 88, of Siloam Springs, Ark., went to be with his Lord, Oct. 9, 2015, in Siloam Springs. He was born Oct. 15, 1926, at Gideon, Ok la . , the son of Clyde Raymond and Ruth Elizabeth Bacon Reed.

He was an award winning member of the N.W. Arkansas Fiddlers Associatio­n, gold member of the Siloam Springs riding club, and Mason. He was a WWII navy veteran. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his first wife of forty-seven years, Lucille Hawley Reed; his parents; nine brothers, Frank, Bob, Clyde R., George, Clarence, Charley, Donnie, Jack, and Grover; three sisters, Mabel Pettit, Goldie Reed, and Barbara Atha; one grandson, Cody Reed.

He is survived by his second wife Marguerite Reed; one son, Lee Reed and wife Karen of Siloam Springs; two daughters, Jeanie Felts-Taylor and husband, Odell of Springdale, Ark., Anne Chambliss of Grove, Okla.; two stepsons, Ronnie McGhee and wife Paula of Decatur, Ark., and Rusty McGhee and wife Fran of Tulsa; one stepdaught­er, Kay Steele and husband Darryl of Conway, Ark.; two brothers, Shug Reed of Dutch Mills, Ark., and Harve Reed and wife Bev of Branden, Miss.; one sister, Minnie Fielding of Rogers, Ark.; 11 grandchild­ren, Brad Felts, Andy Felts, Melody Reed, Bret Chambliss, Scott Chaney, Adam McGhee, Matt McGhee, Jeffery Steele, Jamie Moody, Tyler McGhee, and Gillie McGhee; and 11 great-grandchild­ren.

Funeral service was held at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 12, 2015, at the First Baptist Church in Siloam Springs, with Steve Abbott and Gordon Topping officiatin­g. Burial was in Beaty Cemetery, Lincoln, Ark. There was no graveside service.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Siloam Springs.

Pallbearer­s were Brad Felts, Andy Felts, Bret Chambliss, Tyler McGee, Matt McGee, Adam McGee, Jeffery Steele, Madison Felts, Scott Chaney and J.T. Sanders.

Honorary pallbearer­s were Mack Shook, Gordon Shook, Bruce DeYoung, Marty Lee, Charley Lacy, Randall Spears, Bobby Jack Spears, Bud Cox and his Upper Room Sunday School Class.
