Clowns entertain Saturday night

- MARIE ROY WCN Columnist

It was all enjoyment at the Sugar Hill Church Saturday evening.

Around 40 were there for the event, which included a presentation by Mr. and Mrs. Duffell from Westville, who dressed in various costumes including clowns.

As “Jimbo” and “Tuni,” they made jokes, balloon animals, and through the presentation, taught of faith, and “Keep on keeping on.” The group also had the fun of a hay ride, and a wiener roast with all the trimmings, with s’mores for dessert.

Also, Saturday evening, about 150 friends and family members met at the Cincinnati fire station for a surprise birthday party for Keith Baer, and surprised he was.

In addition to the fun of the surprises, all enjoyed a huge potluck meal, visiting, and reminiscing. May Keith have many more and such happy birthdays.

Twelve members of the Kitchen Band went to Health and Rehab at Prairie Grove on Tuesday to play for the residents there. Many of them took part in the music with the various “instruments,” and singing along. They have a resident dog who was the center of attention, fun for all. We have been invited to return, and hope to do so soon.

Where can you get orders of beef brisket, baked or fried chicken, pork loin, chops, meatloaf, etc., with veggies, dessert and drinks, for only $3? — Lincoln Senior Center. They also have a superb salad bar.

The Center also has exercise classes this month on Monday and Friday morning, no strenuous exercises, but balance exercises, and you know you have had a good workout when you are through. It is also a lot of fun. Try it!

Happy birthday to: Ryan Cochran, Talon Taylor, Gerald Sparks, Taylor Bradley, Reba Tittle, Josh Myers, Austin Myers, Braden Myers.
