Library Offers Books, Fishing Poles

- Diana Payne

The Lincoln Public Library will be closed today, Nov. 11, in observance of Veterans Day. We are so thankful to all our veterans who have and are serving this great country so well.

With that note, we will also be closed Thursday and Friday, Nov. 26 and 27, to be with our families for the Thanksgiving holidays.

We apologize ahead of time for any inconvenience this will cause.

We will be back to business as usual on Saturday, Nov. 28. Or if you need to, please bring your items to the back of the library and use the drop box any time day, night or after hours.

If you need any ideas for holiday baking or crafts, we have books to help you. We also have several computers if you want to do some research online or watch some videos to see how its done.

If you don’t have a library card, we can help you with that. All the city of Lincoln requires is an Arkansas driver’s license with your current address, fill out a form and sign your new card. No money!

All our books and movies are checked out for two weeks. You may get five VHS, five DVDs including one season, five music CDs and five audio books all at one time. We also have a few Wii games that you may check out for one week and one per family, please.

And here is something a little unexpected … we have fishing poles to check out for two weeks! We are one of only a couple of libraries that do that for you. I know right?!

Come by and check us out!
