Best Of The Best Antique Store
PRAIRIE GROVE — It probably came as no surprise to those in the area but Daisies & Olives Antique, Vintage Flea Market was once again named Best Antique Store in northwest Arkansas in the Best of the Best 2015 competition sponsored
by Northwest Arkansas Democrat- Gazette. The antique store has received the honor in the past.
Daisies & Olives, owned by Martha Ritchie, is one of many popular stores in downtown Prairie Grove and especially this time of year, customers will flock to the area looking for unique Christmas decorations and Christmas gifts. The store is located at 129 E. Buchanan St.
Kathy Regier of Newton, Kan., was at Daisies & Olives last week while visiting family in Siloam Springs.
“We love it here,” Regier said. “It’s a fun place. It has a lot of unique things, a great variety. It’s all different.”
Her husband, Allan Regier, said the price range is reasonable and he sees many items that younger people, such as his daughter, would like.
Brenda Hoyt of Fayetteville has been a vendor at Daisies and Olives for 10 years. Her booth is called Flea & Easy.
“This particular store was the beginning of what’s going on out here in Prairie Grove,” Hoyt said. “Other shops have come along. It’s become a destination for people.”
For vendors, Hoyt said, the fun part is going out and “pickin” and searching for the best ideas and merchandise to bring back and sell in a boutique setting.
The store is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday-Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
