New Barbershop Opens In Farmington
FARMINGTON — Bob and Amy Miley of Farmington like giving back to the community, especially children.
They opened their first business, Grayscale Barbershop, in January and say they’ve received a great welcome from the community and city leaders. They are members of Farmington Area Chamber of Commerce and already have been talking to school counselors about ways to help children in the school district.
Grayscale Barbershop is located at 83 S. Double Springs Road, the corner of Double Springs Road and Main Street. The shop has established hours and Amy said this is an advantage because they take walk-ins and customers will know when they are open.
Hours are 8 a. m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday and 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Appointments can be made for Sundays and Mondays.
Both are stylists and honor graduates of Paul Mitchell The School. Their client base has continued to grow since they opened and clients include babies to 90-yearolds.
Men, women and children are all welcome and they are able to take care of any hair types.
Their customers come from all over Northwest Arkansas, including the immediate area and Fayetteville, Bentonville and Bella Vista.
The difference between a barbershop and salon, Bob Miley said, is that a barber specializes in men’s groom- ing. Both are barbers and can provide a quality service to men.
The couple decided to open their business in Farmington because they’ve lived in Farmington for 10 years and their children attend Farmington schools.
They remode led the i r office and like the location because it is close to Main Street and close to the schools.
In addition, it will be located behind a new Dairy Queen re s tauran t , which will open this summer.
“We work very hard to provide the very best customer service we can,” Amy said.
