Charlotte LaVaughn Hammond

Charlotte LaVaughn Hammond, 78, of Farmington, Ark., went to be with her Lord on July 26, 2016, in Springdale, Ark. She was born Dec. 28, 1937, in the Wedington Community, the daughter of Buril and Edna Wright Lankford.

She attended the Westside Free Will Baptist Church in Springdale. She loved bowling, reading, and family and friend get- togethers and was active in the Senior Centers in Lincoln and Farmington.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Frank Hammond; one daughter, Traci Lea Hammond Harp; two brothers, Leroy Lankford and Bill Lankford; two sisters, Donna Bailey and Sondra Lankford.

She is survived by one son and daughter- in- law, Rick and Jan Hammond of Bethel Heights, Ark.; one son-in-law, Bobby Harp of Farmington; two sisters, Pat Gideon and Marge Lankford, both of Prairie Grove; five grandchildren, Ricky Hammond and wife Teresa, Derrick Hammond, Jeremy Hammond, Amy Harp and Alex Harp; four great-grandchildren, Kinley Hammond, Michaele Pennington, Aidan Harp and Blake Gibson; numerous nieces, nephews; and was loved by many.

Funeral service was held at 10 a.m. Saturday July 30, 2016, at the Farmington Cemetery Pavilion.

Pallbearers were Ricky Hammond , Derr ick Hammond , Je r emy Hammond, Alex Harp, General Mills and Ricky Harp.
