Talented Youngsters Shine At Show
The Arkansas Apple Festival Youth Talent Contest displayed many talents from performers ranging in age from 8 through 17. A packed house greeted the contestants Oct. 1 at the American Legion building.
Tabatha Taylor won the 13-17 division as she sang a song she wrote “Don’t You Worry.” Klaire Kohlman won the 8-12 Division with a ballet/dance performance of “Eyes Wide Open.” Both won a trophy and received a check for $ 100. Tabatha lives in Farmington and Klaire is from Rogers.
Hailey Campbell of Farmington was first runner-up older division, with her vocal rendition of “Fever” and received a check for $ 75. Tesa Pack of Lincoln was first runner-up, younger division, with her vocal “Stay” and received $75.
In a close finish, other contestants from the older group gave good performances. They included Trinity Bagley of Siloam Springs, a vocalist; Lane Bunnell from Prairie Grove, a vocalist and guitar player; Allie Cook of Fayetteville, vocalist; Haley Dougan from Springdale, a vocalist; and a musical group with singers from Prairie Grove including Carter McKenzie, Eli Mertz, Alexander Maddan, Kyle McMillen, and Nathaniel Wynn. They sang an original song, “Love Letter A Through Z.”
Three other talented people from the younger division showed their talents, including Natalie Athey from Springdale, a singer who played the guitar; Madelyn Cook of Fayetteville, a vocalist; and Priscilla Hernandez from Fayetteville, also a singer.
