Morrow Wedding Enjoyed By Many

- Lincoln Lifestyles MARIE ROY WCN Columnist

What wonderful weather the past week was, but it had to go and turn too warm again, and windy. The rain was much appreciated and the grass is beginning to grow. Grandson Brian came one day, intending to mow my lawn, and found that it didn’t need it because it had been so dry, the grass just hadn’t grown.

In cleaning up some autumn growth, there were some honey bees on the fall asters, so I decided to leave them for now.

Another grandson, Craig, also came for a visit. I had expected to see him and the two younger ones, Mason and Brooklyn, but Addison also came because she was out of school for “fall break,” which I had never heard of. We didn’t even have Spring break when I went to school, only Thanksgiving and Christmas vacation and sometimes teachers’ conference, no “snow days” or “ice days.” However, the extra activities now, probably keep the children so busy, they need the breaks.

The weather cooperated, so there was a huge crowd Saturday, in the Mount Pleasant Church in Morrow, for the wedding of Seth Latta and Kaytlynn Waskom, a beautiful ceremony as usual, a very lovely bride and handsome groom, and we added thus, another member to our extended family.

The reception was held in the church’s newly built fellowship hall. All enjoyed the visiting, with many seldom-seen friends, and I especially enjoyed visiting with Mary Frances Brock from Riverside, Calif., who had come for her nephew’s wedding, as well as visiting family and friends.

Happy birthday to Josh Myers, Austin Zachary Myers and Braden Lucas Myers ( twins), Courtney Madewell, Danny Rigsbee, Candy Simmons, Willie Williams, Carolyn Latta, and special greetings to Roy Rich, who will be 100 years old on Nov. 2

Happy anniversary to Ryan and Kirsten May.

Happy years, all!
