Casey ‘Pa’ Forbes Jr.

Casey ‘Pa’ H. Forbes Jr., 80, went home to be with his Lord on Sa t u rd ay, Oct. 29, 2016, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayettevil­le, Ark. He was born on Nov. 25, 1935, in Shelby, Tenn., to Casey and Nancy Forbes.

He graduated from Poplar Bluff, Mo., high school, and soon after joined the Navy. He served for 20 years as a Hospital Corpsman, and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. After his retirement from active duty he moved his family to Fayettevil­le where he worked as an O.R. Tech at the VA Hospital for 20 years. After his retirement from the VA Hospital, he became a full-time husband and grandpa. He is known as a “20-20-20 man.”

His parents and his wife, Dana Lee Forbes, preceded him in death.

He is survived by his son, Steven Forbes and wife Ginger of Colcord, Okla.; and four daughters, Pamela Purcell and husband Dan of Lakeland, Fla., Becky Sisemore and husband Norman of Prairie Grove, Ark., Diane Wallis and husband Bob of Coos Bay, Ore., and Candy and husband Mike of Huntsville, Ark.; two brothers; 14 grandchild­ren; and 21 great-grandchild­ren.

Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church of Greenland at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2016, with Rev. Jason Sisemore and Rev. Eric Howerton officiatin­g. Private family interment will be in the Fayettevil­le National Cemetery under the direction of Beard’s Chapel.
