See Changes At The Library

- Diana Payne DIANNA PAYNE IS LIBRARY DIRECTOR AT LINCOLN PUBLIC LIBRARY.

How I love the fall and those cooler temperatures! Summer was long in going, but that’s OK I am patient. In keeping with the “Thankful” month of November, I wanted to say “Thank you” for all the donations we received here this past year at The Lincoln Public Library. When our funding was cut and my budget was tight, this community really helped out with all the generous donations of books and movies they gave. Thank you!

We are looking forward to next year with a new budget which means more books and movies to buy for our patrons.

I have been telling the library ladies here to make their mark in this library with new ideas and projects and boy did they. Amber, Arista and Brenda, along with our Ms. Dorothy, moved around most of the west side of the library. The slower in growth areas are now in the smaller sections whereas the rapid growth areas are in the old fiction area. The ladies are putting up signs to help you find your way and we are always happy to assist you if we can.

Don’t forget our clubs and meetings here, they are all free and open to the public. You can call us at 824-3294 for more information. Sherry Rodgers is hosting StoryTime on Wednesday mornings at 10 a. m. and BookTalkers once a month on the 3rd Thursday afternoon from 4-5 p.m. We have fliers out on the counter if you want one. Students in grades 5 and up are invited to this fun-filled club.

Come by and check us out.
