Lady Wolves Split Games

— Senior pointguard Kendra Cummings exploded, hitting 11 of 12 free throws to go with 7 field goals to lead all scorers with 25 points in Lincoln’s 56-48 conference win at Gravette Dec. 6.

Darian McConnell and Jessica Goldman added 8 points apiece and Lincoln got 3-pointers from Natalie Howard, Tristan Cunningham and Lexington Dobbs to offset a combined 26 points from Gravette’s Krystin Branscum and Cally Kildow.

Lincoln coach Brian Davenport said the Lady Wolves had three good practices going into the game and played well even when Gravette tried to rally.

“We showed some toughness and mental toughness in that game,” Davenport said. “They made a run at us in the fourth quarter. We showed some resilience. They ( Gravette) broke down defensively a few times and we were able to find the open girl.”
