Flossie Arevia Vaughan, 82, of Farmington, Ark., passed away Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2017, at the Maples in Springdale, Ark. She was born Nov. 4, 1934, in Doniphan, Mo . , the daughter of L awre n ce Ed and Dorothy (Deckard) Meadors.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, David Scott; granddaugh­ter, Courtney Laird; great-grandson, Aiden Wilbanks; and two sisters, Marie Tucker and Juanita Anderson.

She is survived by five children, Chester Scott and wife Cathy of Fayettevil­le, Ark., Dorothy Roberts and husband David of Evansville, Ark., Lynn Scott of Kansas, Okla., Dixie Hawkins and husband Larry of Farmington, and Emmett Scott of Kansas, Okla.; six brothers, Guy Meadors and wife Pat, Sonny Meadors and wife Alice, Carel Meadors and wife Betty, Darrell Meadors all of Doniphan, Bill Meadors and wife Tilda of Poplar Bluff, Mo., and Eddie Meadors and wife Judy of Doniphan; three sisters, Doris Tucker and husband Gene of Staunton, Ill., Peggy Norton and husband David of Burleson, Texas, and Mearell Henson of Pueblo, Colo.; 11 grandchild­ren, Jeremy Scott, David Roberts Jr., Angie Beakley, Andrea Brand, Tony Scott, Amber Sisemore, Jennifer Lowery, Josh Scott, Chris Hawkins, Misty Hawkins and Alicia Nelson; 18 great- grandchild­ren, Megan, Austin, Hailey, Logan, Hunter, Brittany, Brookelynn, Tiyler, Taylor, Dustin, Kiah, Jordan, Jasmine, Jericho, Noah, Luke, Xaiver and Maddox.

Funeral service was held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, 2017, at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove, Ark. Burial followed in the Sharp Cemetery.
