Tigers Celebrate Colors Day
PRAIRIE GROVE — Prairie Grove High School celebrated Colors Day Friday, Jan. 27, with a pep rally in the afternoon and coronation ceremony before the senior high games began with the Tigers taking on Greenland. Senior Parker Lopez was crowed 2017 Colors Day queen.
The Color’s Day court included: freshman maid Samantha Blosser, daughter of John and Marcia Blosser, escorted by Nick Pohlman, son of Fred and Tami Pohlman, and Silas Myane, son of the Reverend Lee and Andrea Myane; freshman maid Camryn Gentry, daughter of Greg and Candice Gentry, escorted by Jacob Shepherd, son of Mandi Shepherd, and Rylan Shrum, son of Shawn and Missy Shrum.
Also: sophomore maid Lexie Madewell, daughter of Lance and Liberty Madewell, escorted by Drew Cates, son of Billy Don and Michelle Cates, and Anthony Johnson, son of Andrea Harrel and Jamal Johnson; sophomore maid Mary Storlie, daughter of Joe and Michelle Storlie, escorted by Braden Risner, son of Brad and Leah Risner, and Riley Rhodes, son of Gloria Barnes and Ben Rhodes.
Upperclassmen in the court included: junior maid Maria Luisa Akey, daughter of Chris and Taisa Akey, escorted by her brother Noah, also son of Chris and Taisa Akey, and Tanner Bristow, son of Dennis and Sharon Carte; junior maid Julia Stroud, daughter of Joel Stroud and Molly Randles, escorted by Demarkus Cooper, son of Julie
Dodd and Rodney Higgs, and Will Pridmore, son of Steve and Amy Pridmore.
The attendants were Allie Wilson, daughter of John and Andrea Wilson, and Jude Abshier, son of Patrick and Tara Abshier.
