Lester E. Chambers

Lester E. Chambers of Prairie Grove, Ark., passed away May 16, 2017. He has found peace at last, and is finally free from pain. He went home to his beloved mother Elsie and son Tommy.

He is survived by his wife, Sherill; son, Curtis Williams; niece, Brenna Fchmoll of New Orleans; nephew, Brian Chambers of California; and many special friends and cousins.

Sarah Kathleen Dutton

Sarah Kathleen Dutton, 78, of Goshen, Ark., passed away Sunday, May 21, 2017, in Fayettevil­le, Ark., at Washington Regional Hospital. She was born Jan. 5, 1939, in Kingston, Ark., to Kerman and Nellie Cook.

On May 6, 1960, she married Jim Dutton in Springdale, Ark., and started their 57-year marriage. They raised two daughters together, Belinda Stout and Melissa Dash.

She worked at Baldwin Piano for 20-plus years until she retired. After retiring she worked at Daylight Donuts in Fayettevil­le for 14 years. She was a member of Round Mountain Missionary Baptist Church.

She loved cooking for her large family every Sunday. She also loved watching her 15 great-grandkids at all of their school and sporting events. She enjoyed trips with her husband and daughter all around the U.S.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Kerman and Nellie Cook; brother, Ivan Cook; daughter, Melissa Dash; and granddaugh­ter, Misty Stout.

She is survived by her husband, Jim Dutton; one daughter, Belinda Stout of Prairie Grove, Ark.; six grandchild­ren and their spouses, Brandy Stout with Eric Abalos, Cassie Facio with Kenneth Noisewater, Seth Dash, Sarah Dash, Rhonda Stout, Derek “Bubba” Stout with Michelle Robinson; 15 great-grandchild­ren; one great-greatgrand­child; and many others she considered family.

Funeral services were held Thursday, May 25, 2017, at Beard’s Chapel with Pastor David Evans officiatin­g. Interment followed in Goshen Cemetery under the direction of Beard’s Chapel. Condolence­s may be expressed at www.beards funeralcha­pel.com.

Nancy Catherine Foster

Nancy Catherine Foster, 93, a longtime resident of Fayettevil­le, Ark., passed away Friday, May 19, 2017, at the Maples at Harber Meadows in Springdale, Ark. She was born Dec. 4, 1923, on the Shreve farm in Farmington, Ark., the daughter of Ralph and Janie Bell Wilson Shreve.

She was employed by Campbell Soup for many years and after her time there she worked at Hancock Fabrics. She was of the Christian faith and was a charter member of University Baptist Church. She was hardworkin­g, generous and very proud of her Cherokee heritage. She made hundreds of handmade quilts for family and friends and donated many to raffles for charity as well as the Cherokee children’s orphanage.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Frank Blew Jr. and Mike Blew; her sisters, Waurika Porter and Joan Pruett; her brothers, William F. Shreve and Ralph Shreve Jr.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Billie D. Foster; her daughter, Nancy Blew Israel and husband Ben of Fayettevil­le; her daughters-in-law, Mava Gilley Blew of Fayettevil­le and Rita Ragland Blew of Junction, Texas; seven grandchild­ren; and 11 great-grandchild­ren.

Memorial service was held Tuesday, May 23, 2017, at Moore’s Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Second Mile Ministries at University Baptist Church, 333 W.
