Louise Maxine Winn Sargent, 83, of Strickler, Ark., passed away

Sept. 5, 2017, at her home.

She was born Aug. 29,

1934, in West

Fork, Ark., the daughter of Bill and Bertha

(Neal) Winn.

She was a housewife and farmer where she worked hard everyday. She would do without to make sure her children were provided for. She was a longtime member of the New Sulphur Freewill Baptist Church .

She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband Clarence “Pete” Sargent; one brother, Oland Winn; and two sisters, Christine Durfey and Wynona Morelock.

She is survived by her two children, Roy Gene Sargent of Lexington, S.C., and Karen Sue Mitchell and her husband Larry of Prairie Grove, Ark.; one brother, Elsworth Winn of Greenland, Ark.; one sister, Beatrice Cribett of Collinsvil­le, Okla.; two grandchild­ren, Kara Bryan and her husband Dirk of Lincoln, Ark., and Jeremy Holmes and his wife Misty of Hanna, Okla.; three great-grandchild­ren, Lane and Cooper Holmes and Dirk Bryan.

She will be missed greatly by all of her family and friends.

Funeral service was held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 7, 2017, at the New Sulphur Freewill Baptist Church in Prairie Grove. Burial was in the Fall Creek Cemetery, and no graveside service was held.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Washington Regional Hospice or Fall Creek Cemetery.
