Monthly Dinner

Bethel Grove community will have a community dinner at the Bethel Grove Community Center, Friday, Oct. 6. The dinner is at 6:30 p.m. and music by the 4 Saviors will start at 7 p.m. Bring a covered dish to the dinner.

LINCOLN

Youth Talent Contest

The Arkansas Apple Festival youth talent contest will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7. Entry forms are now available by emailing Russ Laycox at vvaruss@aol.com or calling him or Rainy at 479-8245495. You can also get the forms on the festival website at www.arapplefes­tival.org. There are two age divisions, 8-12 and 13-17. Entries are on a first come, first serve basis. There is no entry fee.

Arkansas Apple Festival

The 42nd annual Arkansas Apple Festival will be held Oct. 6-8 on Lincoln Square. The Festival opens at 9 a.m. Friday with arts and crafts and continues through 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 8. The parade will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 7. The event includes arts and crafts, live music, food vendors, talent contest, apple core throwing contest, Kids World, and the prettiest pooch dog contest.

PRAIRIE GROVE

Beef On The Run

Come by the Prairie Grove United Methodist church before the Tigers homecoming football game and get a delicious beef brisket sandwich dinner to go. The dinner will include BBQ brisket sandwich, chips, cookie and a drink. Cost is $5 per dinner. Meals will be sold from 5-7 p.m., Friday, Sept. 29.
