Apple Festival Briefs

Country Breakfast Lincoln Senior Center will serve its country style breakfast from 6-10 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 6, 7 and 8. Cost is $7 for adults, $5 for kids.

Proceeds benefit Meals on Wheels.

Prettiest Pooch Dog Contest Lincoln Pound Pals will sponsor a dog contest at 1 p.m. Saturday in front of Simmons Bank. To request an application, go to Lincoln Pound Pals’ Facebook page. Entry fee is $25 and prizes will be awarded for first, second and third places. T-shirts also will be for sale.

All proceeds benefit Lincoln Pound Pals, a nonprofit dedicated to working with the city of Lincoln to enhance animal care and create the potential for adoption through the Washington County Animal Shelter.

Festival Talent Show

The Arkansas Apple Festival will accept applications for the Talent Show through Thursday, Oct. 5. There will be two age groups, 8-12 and 13-17.

Prize money and trophies will be awarded to winners in both divisions.

The Talent Show will be held 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, at American Legion building just southeast of Lincoln Square.
