Avery Hawk, 6, of Fayetteville, has fun try­ing to jump and touch her kite, be­ing flown by her grand­fa­ther dur­ing the 17th an­nual Cane Hill Kite Fes­ti­val. A per­fect spring day brought out a record crowd of 766 peo­ple to the fes­ti­val, held at the top of the hill for Spring­field Ranch.
