Doris Jean Omo­hun­dro, 89, of West Fork, Ark., died Thurs­day, March 15, 2018.

She was born Sept. 29, 1928, in Boise, Idaho, the daugh­ter of James E. and Mar­garet Han­son Brown. She was re­tired from the Univer­sity of Arkansas.

She was pre­ceded in death by her hus­band, Elmo Omo­hun­dro; and a son, Robert Omo­hun­dro.

She is sur­vived by four chil­dren, Thomas Omo­hun­dro and his wife Betty of West Fork, Mar­garet Ball of Farm­ing­ton, Ark., Bon­nie Raymo and her hus­band Marvin of West Fork and Roy Omo­hun­dro of Fayet­teville, Ark.; a daugh­ter-in-law, Maria Omo­hun­dro of Vineland, N.J.; a sis­ter, Martha Jarvis of Spokane, Wash.; 12 grand­chil­dren; 27 great-grand­chil­dren; and eight great-great-grand­chil­dren.

A funeral ser­vice was held Mon­day, March 19, at Moore’s Chapel. Burial was in Bap­tist Ford Ceme­tery. Memo­ri­als may be made to the Amer­i­can Heart As­so­ci­a­tion, 92 West Sun­bridge, Fayet­teville, Arkansas 72703.
