Moody Wears Princess Crown
LINCOLN — Olivia Moody, of Siloam Springs, won the 2017 Lincoln Riding Club princess crown and sash, and will be among Lincoln Riding Club royalty presiding over the 2018 Lincoln Rodeo.
Olivia is the 12-year-old daughter of Hannah Johnson and Josh Moody, of Siloam Springs. This fall, she begins the seventh grade at Siloam Springs Middle School. Olivia enjoys art and reading. She loves playing basketball, and was awarded Scholarly Athlete from the Boys and Girls Club. She wants to be an art teacher.
Olivia has been riding since she was born. Her beloved horse, Wiley, a big black and white paint, went into retirement, so, she started fresh on a bay filly named Flip, now 5. Olivia competes in Ozark Junior Rodeo Association rodeos. She also attends and competes in Lincoln Riding Club playdays.
“My family is a rodeo family, and we have been doing them forever,” Olivia said. “I used to do goat undecorating and the barrel racing and now I do rodeo princess. I love rodeo and my horses, Flip and Wiley, to help me love them more.”
As the reigning princess, she enjoyed representing the Lincoln Riding Club and is thankful to have had the opportunity. Olivia would like to wish all the contestants good luck and she hopes each one has an amazing time.
