LIN­COLN — Lin­coln (0-5, 0-4 3A-1 West) is still look­ing for its first vol­ley­ball win as a member of the 3A-1 West revamped for 2018.

The Lady Wolves went to Wal­dron Thurs­day, but were turned back in a 3A-1 West match, 25-11, 25-13, 25-18. Charleston de­feated Lin­coln in con­fer­ence play, 25-9, 25-10, 25-19, last Tues­day, Sept. 4. The Lady Wolves suf­fered a 3-0 con­fer­ence loss at Mans­field Tues­day, Aug. 28, on the heels of a 3-0 non­con­fer­ence home loss to Prairie Grove in the sea­sonopener. Mans­field beat Lin­coln 25-9, 25-7, and 25-15. Booneville handed Lin­coln a sec­ond con­fer­ence loss, 25-19, 25-9, 25-10, on Thurs­day, Aug. 30.

Peren­nial vol­ley­ball power Paris (11-1, 3-0 3A-1 West) leads the league with im­pres­sive non­con­fer­ence early sea­son vic­to­ries over 6A Rus­sel­lville; 5A West Huntsville; plus 4A schools Farm­ing­ton, Mena, Pea Ridge and Prairie Grove. The Lady Ea­gles’ only loss came in tour­na­ment play against Alma (5A West) on Aug. 25.
