Stephanie Nicole Conner, 29, of Lincoln, Ark., passed away on Oct. 14, 2018.

She was born Oct. 19, 1988, in Chanute, Kan., to Charles and Deborah (Davis) Wilken. She was baptized to the Lord on Nov. 13, 1988. When 18 months old she was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. She never let it stop her and always kept a smile on her face.

She attended and graduated from Chanute schools. While there she was in band, track and made state, basketball and volleyball. At Kansas Wesleyan University, she graduated with a degree in leadership and business and MS degree. She also played on the volleyball team and still holds at least one volleyball record for the school. On Oct. 18, 2014, she married Brian Conner of Salina in Chanute. While in Salina, she worked for Wilson and Co., Lowe’s and YMCA. In Arkansas she worked for Lowe’s in Fayettevil­le.

She is survived by her husband, Brian Conner; son, Brody Conner of Lincoln; daughter, Ashlynn Conner of Lincoln; both parents of Gravette Ark.; brother, Christophe­r and Jeana Wilken of Rogers, Ark., and nephews; grandparen­ts, Dennis and Erma Davis; one sister-inlaw and three brothers-inlaw and families; and uncles, aunts and cousins.

Memorial services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26, 2018, in Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Rogers.

Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be made toward Stephanie’s children’s education in care of the family.
