Ruthie Marie Burgess Smith, 36, of Fayet­teville, Ark., un­ex­pect­edly passed away on Oct. 24, 2018, at North­west Med­i­cal Cen­ter in Spring­dale, Ark.

She was born on Sept. 8, 1982, in Madi­son County, Ark., to Robert and Mar­sha Smith Burgess. She at­tended Prairie Grove High School and went to the Univer­sity of Arkansas and was work­ing on a de­gree in ed­u­ca­tion. She was a mem­ber of the Church of Je­sus Christ of Lat­ter-day

Saints and taught at Prism Ed­u­ca­tion Cen­ter. She was a beloved wife and mother to five beau­ti­ful chil­dren. She was a nat­u­ral mother and teacher and loved chil­dren. She loved her church and her fam­ily, most of all. The rip­ple ef­fect of her love and self­less­ness spread far and wide. She is loved and will truly be missed by all who knew her

She was pre­ceded in death by her fa­ther, Robert Thomas Burgess and beloved step­mother, Ruth Lil­ian Ses­sions.

She is sur­vived by her lov­ing hus­band, Bryan Smith; chil­dren, Mol­lie, Tadd, Evie, Rea­gan and Baby Burgess; a niece, Alexa; broth­ers, Robert D., Burgie, Thomas, Robert T., Martin and Chan­dler Burgess; her sis­ters, Bobbi Sco­gin, An­nette Wil­liams, Lois Has­sell, Ella Coffy and Bethra Flow­ers; and many other nieces and neph­ews.

A Cel­e­bra­tion of Life was held Tues­day, Oct. 30, 2018, at The Church of Je­sus Christ of Lat­ter-day Saints in Fayet­teville. In­ter­ment was pri­vate.
