Willis Lee Winkler, 79, of Lincoln, Ark., died on Wednesday, July 31, 2019, at his home.

He was born Nov. 8, 1939, in Morrow, Ark., the son of Bert Eugene and Bessie Alice (Griffin) Winkler. He was employed by the Lincoln Public Schools for

40 years.

After his retirement, he spent his days working on the farm alongside his wife. He was an avid collector of Allis-Chalmers tractors, having collected all of the D series. He was a man of faith, dedicated to his church, The Sanctuary of Lincoln, and highly respected by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Homer, Bobby, Paul, Jim; sister, Asalee Bredrick; brother-in-law, Steve Johnson and wife Phyllis (Guess) Johnson; brother-inlaw, Wayne Johnson; daughter-in-law, Kimberly Winkler; granddaugh­ters, Kristi O’Brien, Rachel Winkler, Marsha Winkler-Frost; and great-grandson Sebastian Frost.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Nancy JoAnne (Johnson) Winkler; sons, Larry Winkler and wife Esther of Neosho, Mo., Jon Mark Winkler of Dutch Mills, Ark.; daughters, Debbee O’Brien of Lincoln, Sara Williams of Fort Smith, Ark.; nine grandchild­ren; and 15 great-grandchild­ren.

Funeral service was held 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, 2019, at The Sanctuary in Lincoln. Burial was in the Bethesda Cemetery, and no graveside services were held.
