Have A ‘Good Morning’

- MARIE ROY WCN Columnist

The good, general rain is the best news now, coming in time to save gardens, and make the grass grow! Who minds mowing the lawn? God sends the rain and sun, the grass grows, and the farmers “make hay while the sun shines.”

It’s difficult sometimes to keep up with my many family members. My grandson, Dean, called this morning, and he was on his way home from his 400-plus miles, five days each week, trips.

Grandson Craig Roy, Sheryl, and their three children are enjoying their annual vacation trip to the white sands beaches of Florida.

Granddaughter Megan and Chris Luttrell and their three children are planning their annual vacation for next week to the beaches of Alabama, accompanied by her mother, Janet Roy.

Those people who are awakened at 7:30 a.m. by “noises,” don’t know what they are missing, for by that time there has usually been the beautiful sunrise, made even more so if there are a few clouds scattered among the light, a “sight out of this world.” Also to enjoy early, is the early morning singing of the birds.

And Sunday morning 7:30 or 8 a.m. is time for getting ready for the morning services.

Speaking of a good morning, we all say good morning to others. Do you know the meaning of “Good Morning?” Get up.

Open your heart.

Open your mind. Dedicate your day to God Meditate on God’s word. Optimize your faith, hope. Rebuke all evils.

Never doubt God’s Love. Inspire someone. Nothing should scare you. Go out with joy.

So, I say Good Morning and have a blessed day!

Happy birthday to Dorothy Borchardt, Emogene Hutchinson, Jean McKelvey, Ron Thomas, Tonya Umberson, Jackie Bradley, Harold Nelson, Michelle Ramsey, Larry Meyer, Jo Ann Matthews, Sally Metcalf. Happy years, all!
