Earl Eugene ‘Geno’ Gooding

Earl Eugene “Geno” Gooding, 70, died Dec. 2, 2019.

He was born on Nov. 6, 1949, in Wichita, Kan., to Earl and Rosa Tackett Gooding. He was married to Darlene Gooding for 50 years. He was a retired heavy equipment operator and a dump truck driver. He loved going camping, hunting, and fishing with his sons and grandson Mark. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Rosa Gooding; two brothers, Tom and Gary Gooding, and one sister; Deanna Gors.

He is survived by his wife, Darlene Gooding, of the home; two sons, Ronnie and his wife Angela Gooding, of Fayettevil­le, Ark., Jimmy and his wife Amber Gooding, of Lincoln, Ark.; one daughter, Rebecca “Becky,” AKA Sis, and her husband Craig Stilwell of Farmington, Ark.; six grandchild­ren, Cecille and Anthony Doss of Johnson and Taylor Stilwell, Alex Stilwell, Mark Gooding, Zack Gooding, all four of Farmington, Jaylin Gooding of Houston, Texas; three step-granddaugh­ters, Chelsea Ellison and Rickie Sams, both of Fayettevil­le, Rayleigh Montez of Lincoln; two great-grandchild­ren and was awaiting the birth of a great-granddaugh­ter.

A celebratio­n of his life was held Thursday, Dec. 5, 2019, at Fayettevil­le Freewill Baptist Church. Interment followed at Ledbetter Cemetery located in Japton. Memorials may be sent to The American Heart Associatio­n.

Epting Funeral Home of Fayettevil­le was in charge of arrangemen­ts. of Lincoln, Ark.; three sons, Duane Streit (Cindy) of Fayettevil­le; numerous grandchild­ren; and numerous great-grandchild­ren.

Funeral service was held Monday, Dec. 9, at Crystal Hills Family Fellowship in Elkins, Ark., with Pastor Jasper Hankins officiatin­g. Burial was in Brannon Mountain Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Willard Walker Hospice Home, 325 E. Longview St., Fayettevil­le, AR 72703.
