Wesley Glynn Pinkerton, 79, of Lincoln, Ark., passed away Friday, July 24, 2020, in Pra ir ie Grove, Ark.

He wa s born March 26, 1941, in Abilene, Texas, the son of Donnelly Hughes “Billy” and Edith Marie ( Huffman) Pinkerton.

He grew up in Dutch Mills, Ark., and graduated from Lincoln High School. He served in the National Guard for six years. After marrying Shirley Conner in 1964, he resided in Lincoln where he and his twin brother, Les, started and co-owned Twins Auto Service and had the only wrecker service in the area at the time. He and his wife later became the owners and kept the shop open for 40 years, until his retirement in 2005. He was very respected and trusted in his trade. Besides being such a hardworkin­g and dependable shop owner, Wes was very loyal and loved by his community, family, and friends. He enjoyed camping and fishing. He was an avid water skier in his younger years. He looked forward to hunting trips to Colorado with family and friends. He helped coach his son’s baseball teams, and since the arrival of his grandkids, he has attended numerous sporting events and grandkids’ activities. He had a unique smile and infectious laugh that brought joy to those around him. He will be greatly missed, but he will live in our hearts forever.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Don Pinkerton.

Survivors include his wife, of 55 years, Shirley Pinkerton; one son, Matthew Pinkerton and wife Briana; two grandchild­ren, Elise Pinkerton and Mattix Pinkerton; one brother, Lesley Pinkerton and wife Judy; one sister, Karen Spear and husband David; sister-in-law, Marilyn Pinkerton.

Funeral service will be held 10 a. m. Wednesday, July 29, 2020, at Dutch Mills Cemetery Pavilion.
