Judy Faye Wynne, 66, passed away at Regency Hospital on Thursday, Nov. 5, 2020.

She was born the eighth of 10 siblings in Ashdown, A rk . , on April 18 of 1954. She lived what many would consider a small and quiet life, but it was also a rich and full one. She had a gentleness and fragility of form and movement that belied her fiery spirit and sharp intellect. She was a passionate reader and enjoyed discussing her love of books with others almost as much as she loved reading. She enjoyed painting and would share her vibrant pictures with her family and friends when she completed them.

She loved the outdoors and nature. Her aptitude for stillness served her well in those pursuits. She was an avid fisherwoman. She also had a gift for connecting to animals of all kinds, especially those that other people could not. She was rarely seen without a cat on her lap. She was also an extremely talented gardener and could bring plants to flourish that others would have left as hopeless. She loved children, especially small kids, and they loved her back just as much. She also deeply loved her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, EuGene Calvin Wynne and Annas Verlon Kemp; three brothers, Joseph Wynne, Bill Wynne, and Joe Wynne; one sister, Patricia Dobbs.

She is survived by three children, Lawrence Haynes of Fayetteville, Ark., Ruth Ann Allbritton of Oklahoma City, Okla., and April Wynne of Garberville, Calif.; four grandchildren, Sebastian Haynes, Andrew Wylepski, Victoria Allbritton, and Matthew Allbritton; one brother, Lee Wynne of Prairie Grove, Ark.; four sisters, Jane Birkes of Lincoln, Ark., Pam Carpenter of Pawhuska, Okla., Betty and husband Dee Bartholomew of Prairie Grove and Dawn Phillips of Siloam Springs, Ark.; two foster sisters, Krikitt and husband Michael Patrick of Bentonville, Ark., and Judy Bottoms of Pineville, Mo.; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Final resting place is Old Union Cemetery in Cincinnati, Ark. In lieu of flowers, the family request you donate to Friends of Prairie Grove Pound in Judy’s memory because of her love of animals.

Luginbuel Funeral Home of Prairie Grove was in charge of arrangements.
