Laura Ilene Qualls

Laura “Ilene” Qualls, 92, passed away Jan. 9, 2021, in Huntsville, Ark.

She was born Dec. 20, 1928, in Harviell, Mo., to William H. and Edna Ilene ( Goin) Fray. She was the loving wife of her husband of 47 years, Chester Qualls. She loved gardening, beach walks and her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brothers, Lawrence “Joe” Fray and William Dwaine “Pete” Fray.

She is survived by children, Sharon Qualls Sigmon of Prairie Grove, Ark., and Chester “Michael” Qualls of Arnold, Mo.; brother, Donald Fray of Kansas City, Mo.; four grandchildren; five great- grandchildren; and seven great- greatgrandchildren.

She was laid to rest in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Poplar Bluff, Mo.

Callison- Lough Funeral Home of Fayetteville, Ark., was in charge of arrangements. very active in his church, Spring Valley Baptist Church. He loved his family, loved to fish and always telling a good joke.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Christal Fritch, Kathy Gilbert and Geneva Smith; and four brothers, Roy Sisemore, Ray Sisemore, Charles Sisemore and Jerry Sisemore.

Survivors include his loving wife, Becky Sisemore; two sons, Jonathan Sisemore and his wife Amber of Prairie Grove, and Jason Sisemore and his wife Marsha of Farmington, Ark.; three sisters, Glenda Test of Farmington, Bonita Sanders of Wesley, and Rita Dunn of Fayetteville; and one grandson.

Viewing will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 21, 2021, at Luginbuel Funeral Home in Prairie Grove.

Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 22, 2021, at Ridgeview Baptist Church in Fayetteville with the Rev. Jason Sisemore presiding. Burial will be in the Farmington Cemetery in Farmington.
