Dr. (C.H.) Charles Henry Miller

Charles Henry Miller ( C. H.), born February 8, 1942, in Lebanon, Mo., to Mary Belle and Cranal H o r a c e Miller, went to be with the Lord on April 9, 2021, in Branson, Mo. , of a heart attack.

He resided in Fayettevil­le, Ark., since 1976, and had a second place he called home in Peel, Ark., beginning in 1996. He married Carol Elaine Skelton on November 23, 1962, in Prairie Grove at First Methodist Church. He graduated from Prairie Grove High School in 1960, attended the University of Arkansas, and graduated from UAMS in 1967. He completed an internship in Tulsa and completed a fouryear residency in thoracic surgery.

From 1973-1975, he was stationed in Sumter, S.C., as an Air Force surgeon completing his service as a Major. In 1975, he returned to Little Rock to complete his cardiovasc­ular fellowship. In 1976, he moved to Fayettevil­le and practiced as a cardiovasc­ular/thoracic surgeon until his retirement in 1999.

Alongside of his medical practice he taught at Bible Study Fellowship as teaching leader for 20 years. His passion for the human heart moved way beyond the physical, desiring not only to see physical healing but most importantl­y a desire for spiritual healing of the heart between God and man. He spent many hours of his life on the water fishing for enjoyment, and an equal amount or more of his time being a fisher of men.

C. H. is survived by his wife of 58 years, Carol Miller; his oldest son Richey, wife Michele and their children Kailey and Alex Erwin, Valeria and Chaz Miller and Bethany Miller; his second son Chris, wife Jenny and their children Elliot and Ben Graves, Lacy Miller, Garrett Miller, Luke Miller and Charlie Miller; his daughter Sarah Crites, husband Adam and their children Emma and Brady Patrick, Isaac Crites, Anna Claire Crites and Eli Crites.

A memorial service was held at Trinity Grace Church in Rogers, on Thursday, April 15, 2021. C.H. was laid to rest at Lincoln Cemetery in Lincoln, Ark. Pallbearer­s were Alex Erwin, Chaz Miller, Ben Graves, Brady Patrick, Isaac Crites, Garrett Miller, Luke Miller, Eli Crites, and Charlie Miller.
