Police arrest Farmington woman with drugs, gun, money
FARMINGTON — A woman is facing multiple charges after being arrested in connection with drug crimes, according to the Farmington Police Department.
The Farmington Criminal Investigation Division with assistance from the 4th Judicial Drug Task Force arrested Crystal Shoffit, 45, of Farmington on April 30 in connection with possession of controlled substance Schedule II, two counts of possession of controlled substance Schedule VI, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearm, possession of Schedule VI with purpose to deliver, possession of firearm by certain persons, and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a post on the Farmington Police Department Facebook page.
The officers were investigating Shoffit for drug-related charges stemming from an incident earlier this week, the post states.
In total, according to the police department, more than 2.5 pounds of marijuana, almost an ounce of psilocybin mushrooms, numerous items of drug paraphernalia and items for weighing, separating or packaging controlled substances were seized.
In addition, a handgun and more than $7,000 dollars were seized related to profits from illegal distribution of controlled substances, according to police.
Shoffit was placed under arrest and taken to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office for further processing.
