Ultimate THE AMERICAN ADVENTURE Animatronic Show in Pandavision - EPC OT ( Golden Dream edited)

WDW Magazine - - Interview -

Michael was taken to the back of the Indiana Jones theater (where you enter) to put on his costume. “After we were dressed, they told us where we would stand and what we were supposed to do. My role was to get shot by fake blow darts and die a horrible death. I had to say ‘Why?’ while dying.”

After they received instructions, Michael and the other extras were brought back on stage to perform their parts. He was very nervous despite a small role he had to play. He said, “You don’t realize when you are sitting in the audience just how many people are watching. But when you are on stage…it’s a lot of people.” (In case you are wondering, when the theater is filled to capacity it holds around 2,000 guests.)

If you are familiar with the show, you might know that there is something “unique” about one of the “extras”. I won’t spoil it for those that don’t know, but I asked Michael if they told the other “extras” what would happen. It turns out; it is a surprise for everyone.

After the “extras” are finished, they head to the back of the theater to turn in their

costumes, and then return to their seats to watch the rest of the show. Michael had a great time and highly recommends volunteering for this unique experience. However, he says to “be prepared that you will be in front of A LOT of people.”

My daughter Emily was also able to take part in a unique guest experience at Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular. At 8 years old she wasn’t old enough to do the part Michael did (you have to be at least 18 for that) she was selected to be the Junior Director for the show. Like Michael, we were sitting near the front of the theater after getting there early and they asked her if she wanted to participate. Just before Indiana Jones “drops in” to the first scene, Emily got to say “Lights, Camera, Action!”

Emily had this to say about her experience, “It was very, very cool. I was a little nervous but it was neat being in front of all those people. Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular is my favorite show at Disney World. Definitely get there early to get a good seat!”

Ever since her experience, watching Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular is the highlight of our trip.
