Na'vi River Journey - M ulti Angle Pandavision - P andora World of Avatar - Disney's Animal Kingdom
but I assume that these were Magic Shots locations, since there weren't any actual character meet and greets. There are plenty of places where we took pictures ourselves. We knew that this would be our only chance to see Pandora without a crowd, and we took advantage of it.
We then decided to hit Avatar Flight of Passage again. There was a bit of a line this time because there was some type of technical difficulty. It only lasted about ten minutes, then they had it up and running again. Interestingly, part of the pre-flight film was different our second ride. I'm glad that we decided to ride again, because I truly loved it the second time. For me, it was better when I knew what to expect and I could just enjoy the experience.
After our second banshee flight, we hit Satu'li Canteen. The Cast Members here had a great time playing up their roles as people who are living light years from Earth. My daughter and I are both longtime vegetarians, and special dietary requests are easily met here. We decided to split the build your own bowl option. We picked the Crispy-fried Tofu as our protein, Red and Sweet Potato Hash as the base, and Creamy Herb Dressing for the sauce.
The dish is topped with slaw. It was very good, and the tofu was cooked perfectly. The heat was a little bit too much for me, it hit me right after we finished. I wouldn't let that stop me from ordering it again.
When we finished lunch our preview time was almost up, but we wanted to hit Na'vi River Journey one more time. I was disappointed when I saw that the Wait Time was posted as 45 minutes. I decided to ask the Cast Members at the entrance about that. They told me that it was closer to 45 seconds. We not only walked right on, we were the only ones on the entire ride. Once it was over we walked through Pandora one more time to make sure that we had seen everything. We were both sad to leave.
The Passholder Preview was extremely well run, and I enjoyed every second of it. I was pleased that they limited the number of people allowed in each time slot. We were able to explore and see what we wanted, and we hit each new ride twice. It was strange to be in a Disney park with so few children around, but that will change once the land has officially opened. I can't wait to see Pandora — The World of Avatar at night, even though I know it will be packed. I'm also now more excited than ever about what the upcoming Star Wars Land will bring us.
